Help! My little sister is now old. I guess you know what that makes me. Her hubby and I wanted to make sure she sent her twenties off in style...so we planned a little get together. He, being the chef, was in charge of food & location (thanks goodness!). I got to do the fun stuff...with a lot of help from Crafty Friend Karen. The party was held at the swanky and neighborhood favorite Sonoma Restaurant & Wine Bar in downtown DC next to the Capitol Building (my husband owes the best burger of his life to this joint). The upstairs lounge is perfect for a gathering...very cozy & very chic. Everything turned out perfect, except for the flowers on the cake...I forgot to specify the color and I got yellow. Oh well, next time I won't forget that! For the favors (I love favors!) we put together a collection of 30 songs...one from every year of her life. My husband thinks my answer to life's quandaries is a mixed disc. I can't deny it, I love mixed discs. Who doesn't!?! Pocky and gold Japanese Lucky Cats accompanied the mixed CD.
