Spring Planting - Patio Style

The last two weekends I've taken advantage of the wonderful weather to do some weeding and planting.  When I say 'planting' I mean putting together some flower pots for the patio, which is a *Favorite Spring Activity* of mine.  Historically I usually go for a light pink and while flower palette, but this year I decided to match up the purple pansies (that survived the winter) with some bright fuschia blooms.  The change in color scheme was inspired by a bougainvillea topiary I spied at the nursery.

  

I also finally got a real coffee table instead of the kiddie sand/water play table.  I had been holding out to find a table I liked that wasn't part of the set, but alas I couldn't find anything so I went with the matchy matchy table.  I was also holding out for a navy and white striped patio umbrella and finally broke down and got this one.  Who knew it would be so hard to find a navy & while striped umbrella--it seems like such a classic, always in style.

The roses are in bloom!  At this time of the year they are so easy to care for and so easy to reap their rewards.
