I love this idea! Thank you for sharing this. I hope you can help me out with this question: what font was used for ROCKS? Thank you!

Hi Melinda,
I definitely used ColorBox ink. I bought a fresh Colorbox ink pad just for this project and it worked great. There is very minimal bleeding of the design. I actually stamped over 100 bags with a really intricate design for my brother in law's wedding and it came through great. I have never washed the bags, but I think it would probably wash off unless you use permanent ink.

After much googling about how to print on muslin, I found this site ( which took me to your page. Thank you so much for the tip! Quick question - does it matter what kind of ink is used? I have a ColorBox and wanted to make sure it doesn't bleed / wash off on muslin.

I L.O.V.E. this idea. .

ADORABLE! thank you for sharing!

Thanks for your nice comment. I would definitely stamp before you fill the bags. You should cut a piece of card stock (or some heavy paper) so that it fits inside the bag. Insert the card into the bag before you stamp--this will do two things: (1) prevent any of the ink from bleeding through & (2) will make your design come out crisper since you can press on a firmer surface. Once you are done stamping simply remove the card and stick it in the next bag to be stamped. Good luck and have fun! It is a little mindless, but it will go by quicker than you think.

AWESOME! I want to do this a favors for my wedding! I'm going to make a custom stamp (or two) that say "Love is SWEET" and then 10•TWENTYFIVE•09 which is our date. Ideally I'd like to stuff them with something boxed, like candies, since they're sweet!

Can I ask you when you stamped them? I'm afraid if I stamp before I fill them, the ink will go through to the other side.

You inspired me to do this:, but unfortunately my execution of the stamping wasn't as good-looking as yours :)

Just wanted to say a quick thanks for making my kids' valentine's so ROCKIN'!! My daughter insisted on printing them on yellow paper, but I still think they turned out great.

Hi! I used Color Box's Pigment Ink Pad in a Cranberry color.
