Living in a small one bedroom apartment in the city, my craft room usually is the coffee and small dining room table. I am very fortunate that the other inhabitants of the house who can speak human are usually understanding of craft mania that sometimes overruns the place. I like to think of my lack of space makes me a bit more creative---I use every bit of eligible space. Once I found a scrap of fabric in the kitchen sink! Usually, if caught in the crafting crossfire, the others retreat to other corners of the house.
Well, all that is about to change! After years of scrimping and saving and almost a nervous breakdown (I don’t deal well with change/lenders/packing apparently) M and I finally have a place to call our own! The best feature of our little place is located downstairs and to the left….my very own craft room! (a close second are the dishwasher/central AC/washer & dryer/[fill in any modern amenity]) M completely understood my need for my own area and was very happy to delegate a (contained) space for my creative pursuits. Perhaps he was sick of tripping over fabric in the kitchen, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. What can I say, but I love that man more and more each day---except for the packing days.
Just when I thought things couldn’t get better, K and the rest of her family showed up at our new house yesterday with the most incredible looking orchids and then took M and I to dinner to celebrate. (My family rocks). I would provide pictures of the flowers and the (empty) craft room, but my camera is MIA. Pictures will follow (eventually).

I have your camera : )
It was passed off to me in a hurried state so you would not lose it during the move. I did take a quick snap of the orchid before bringing it to your new place....
